MORTGAGE CONSULTANT
Job Description
Must possess the ability to use independent judgment and multi-task working with several investors' guidelines. Must be able to work successfully
under tight deadlines. Individual must present them self professionally and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates
must exhibit a high level of self-motivation, the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with customers and employees, and work
independently to meet deadlines. Must be conscious of and abide by RESPA regulations and Mortgage regulations overseeing mortgage brokering and
banking in the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware and Florida.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the company in achieving their budgeted loan growth by producing a minimum of $1 million in loan production or $10,000 in Revenue
production per month.
- Business Development-Marketing to new lead sources and referral partners.
- Interview, evaluate and advise prospective clients on appropriate mortgage loan products.
- Qualify potential mortgage loan applicants as well as obtain and analyze financial information to document loan requests.
- Analyze and interpret financial information such as tax returns, brokerage statements, etc.
- Work with mortgage processors to get loan approved.
- Build relationships with existing customers to deepen referral base.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory guidelines through professional journals, Internet, and periodicals.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac guidelines.
- Understand investor’s program parameters and underwriting requirements.
